Research Interests
Welcome to the research home page of Sankha Banerjee . I am an undergraduate student in the MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of MOTILAL NEHRU NATIONAL INSTITUTE of TECHNOLOGY (MNNIT,Allahabad). My primary research interests are in HEAT TRANSFER and Manufacturing science and technology. My interests are also in the areas of Automobiles and Aerodynamics (covered in the subjects of study of Automobile Engineering and Fluid Mechanics respectively).
I have completed a project under Dr N. Suresh Kumar Reddy on the "Applicability of Solid Lubricants in Machining Processes" at MNNIT, Allahabad my home institute and have authored a paper on the .“Investigation to Study the Applicability of Solid Lubricant in Turning AISI 1040 steel”, which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering (ASME journals).
I have also authored a research paper on the “Experimental Investigation of Solid lubricant Assisted Machining” which has been communicated to the Conference on Emerging Mechanical Technology-Macro to Nano, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani, India).
I have worked in the Depatment of Tribology, CENTRAL MECHANICAL ENGINEERING RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Durgapur under Scientist Sh. N.C.Murmu (Head Tribology Group).
The details of my projects can be found below.
